Mark J. Woolhiser, AIF®

Mark J. Woolhiser is the founder and CEO of MBC Investment Consulting, Inc. (MBCIC). Mark has over thirty five years of experience with plan sponsor retirement plan consulting. Mark is a professional in the defined contribution industry, and he is a frequent speaker at retirement industry conferences.

MBCIC is a full service retirement plan consulting firm focusing on the investment advisory and plan design of defined contribution programs. These programs consist of 401(k), 457, and 401(a) plans. Mark, who is an Investment Advisor Representative of Sigma Planning Corporation, a Registered Investment Advisor, is in charge of all investment advisory and plan sponsor consulting for MBCIC.

Mark, who has been known as a dynamic leader in the Michigan municipal market, has been responsible for the vendor consolidation, repricing and cost reduction of several large municipal defined contribution plans in the state of Michigan.

Mark holds several designations including an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, AIF® designation from fi360.

Mark has a B.S. in Business Administration, with a double major in Marketing and Finance from Central Michigan University. Prior to founding MBC Investment Consulting, Inc. he was a Managing Director of the Great Lakes Region for ING Financial Advisors, focusing on the Government Market, specifically with 457 and 401(a) plans. During his tenure, he was responsible for over $2 billion in retirement plan assets and over 4,000 qualified plans. Mark’s licenses include FINRA Series 7, 26, 63, 65 Life/Health and Variable Health.
